The Formula 4 Central European Zone (F4 CEZ) Championship awards Rookie Rocket honors to the top-performing rookies after each race weekend. At the second round of the season, the top three Rookie Rocket were Andreas Lo Bue, František Němec, and David Gorčica.
Lo Bue, driving for the Maffi Racing team, completed his first full F4 CEZ weekend at the Red Bull Ring. He qualified 13th and finished the three races in 9th, 13th, and 11th place—scoring his first points of the season in the opening race.
Just behind the Swiss driver in the Rookie Rocket was František Němec from the F4 CEZ Academy powered by JMT Engineering. The Czech driver qualified 14th and finished the races in 13th, 9th, and 12th place, also claiming his first championship points.
Another Czech driver, David Gorčica of Janík Motorsport, completed the Rookie Rocket top three. He qualified 17th and went on to finish 17th, 8th, and 13th in the races, earning his first points of the season. Gorčica had also finished third in the Rookie Rocket in the opening round in April.
All top three Rookie Rocket drivers scored their first points in the F4 CEZ Championship at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, successfully wrapping up the weekend. They now look ahead to the next round at another Austrian venue—Salzburgring.
The Rookie Rocket classification is a dedicated ranking designed to spotlight newcomers, without significant testing mileage or gentleman drivers entering single-seater racing for fun.
