British driver Bart Harrison of Jenzer Motorsport claimed victory in the second race of the F4 Central European Zone at the Red Bull Ring, extending his winning streak.
Harrison and his teammate Gino Trappa once again started from the front row, with Harrison holding onto the lead and Trappa right behind. Meanwhile, Chase Fernandez and Luca Viisoreanu battled for position in the last corner of the first lap but both went wide, losing several places and dropping down the order.
Shortly after, Mathilda Paatz outbraked herself at Turn 4 and ended up in the run-off area, prompting a brief deployment of the safety car.
Following the restart, the three Jenzer Motorsport cars controlled the front of the race—Harrison led, followed by Trappa and Javier Herrera. David Walther of Maffi Racing ran in fourth, with another group of four Jenzer drivers battling just behind him. Teo Schropp emerged on top of that pack, closely followed by Max Karhan.
Walther applied pressure on Herrera and eventually forced him into a mistake, allowing Walther to move up to third. Schropp and Karhan were immediately behind their teammate Herrera. Schropp soon overtook Herrera, and Karhan was next to try and find a way past.
As Walther defended fiercely against Schropp for the final podium spot, their battle slowed them down and allowed Herrera and Karhan to close back in, creating a four-way fight for third place.
In the closing laps, Walther managed to pull a small gap and held onto third until the finish, although he was nearly eight seconds behind the leading duo of Harrison and Trappa.
Harrison secured his second win of the weekend with Trappa once again finishing second and Walther rounding out the podium in third for Maffi Racing. Jenzer Motorsport drivers filled the next four positions: Schropp finished fourth, followed by Herrera, Karhan, and Nicolas Cortes. However, Herrera received a two-second penalty for exceeding track limits, which dropped him to sixth, behind Karhan.
Teo Borenstein, Walther’s teammate at Maffi Racing, finished eighth. Hady Mimassi of Renauer Motorsport was ninth, and Bautista Acosta, another Jenzer Motorsport driver, completed the top ten.
