Young Hungarian talent Benett Gáspár is preparing for an exciting debut in the Formula 4 Central European Zone (F4 CEZ) Championship in 2025, joining forces with renowned Hungarian racing team Zengő Motorsport.
“I’m really excited! Last year, I got to know my team and the car, but I still don’t have any racing experience in Formula 4, so I can’t wait to hit the track!” said Benett about the upcoming season.
The transition from karting to Formula racing is always challenging, but Benett has diligently prepared for this significant step forward. “I have been preparing both mentally and physically, and we have tried to take part in as many test sessions as possible,” he explained. One of the most critical aspects of adapting from karting has been mastering braking dynamics. “For me, the biggest and most interesting challenge was understanding the braking dynamics and how the brakes work overall.”
Simulator training has also played a crucial role in his preparation. Gáspár highlighted its importance, stating, “I think the simulator plays a huge role in motorsport nowadays. I try to use it as much as possible, and it helps a lot with my driving.”
Joining Zengő Motorsport, a highly respected Hungarian team traditionally known for its successes in touring cars, offers significant advantages for the young driver. “First of all, it is a great honor to race for this Hungarian team as a Hungarian driver,” Benett emphasized. “This is also a new project for them since the team has previously focused on touring cars. Everyone in the team is Hungarian, and in a way, this is also a shared Hungarian dream—to achieve the greatest possible success together.”
He praised the professionalism and expertise of the team: “I have the privilege of working with one of Hungary’s best engineers, and my team manager also possesses exceptional skills. Fortunately, thanks to our media team, we are becoming more and more visible on social media. The mechanics work quickly and precisely, always ensuring that my car is ready when it’s time to hit the track. So, in my opinion, nothing is impossible for this team!”
Looking ahead, Benett Gáspár clearly outlined his ambitions: “The primary goal is to learn as much as possible this year. The secondary goal is to achieve the best possible results—podiums and victories!”
Ultimately, Benett has set his sights high, with aspirations reaching beyond F4 CEZ. “Obviously, my short-term goal is to win races and championships,” he noted. “In the long run, I aim to achieve the same success in Formula 3 and continue climbing the ranks as high as possible.”
