AS Motorsport is set to compete in the opening round of the 2025 Formula 4 Central European Zone (F4 CEZ) Championship at Austria’s Red Bull Ring from April 11 to 13. The team will field its Formula 4 single-seaters.
The team has announced that British driver Chase Fernandez will be among their lineup for the event. The talented teenager began karting at the age of 9 and quickly made a name for himself. In 2021, Fernandez clinched the Ginetta Junior Scholarship, leading to a successful campaign in the Ginetta Junior Championship where he secured four wins and five additional podium finishes.
Fernandez made the switch to single-seaters by competing in the F4 UAE Trophy and making an appearance in the F4 Spanish Championship in 2024. He will be racing in the British F4 Championship this season, but in a bid to gain as much experience as possible, he struck a deal with AS Motorsport to participate in the opening round of the F4 CEZ.
The Red Bull Ring, known for hosting Formula 1 races, is a favorite among drivers and fans. Its challenging layout and picturesque setting make it an ideal venue for the season opener.
