The Formula 4 Central European Zone championship awards Rookie Rocket honors to the best-performing rookies after each race weekend. At the season finale in Brno, the top three were David Gorčica, Teodor Borenstein and Nicole Havrda.
Czech driver David Gorčica, racing for the Janík Motorsport team, brought the car home in the points in all three Brno races. Something he had never managed in previous rounds. That consistency explains his rise to the top of the Rookie Rocket ranking. Thanks to 10th place in Race 1 and two 8th-place finishes in Races 2 and 3, he also collected his biggest points haul of the 2025 season. Gorčica began the year as a rookie running in the second half of the grid, but with each weekend he moved steadily forward and proved that finishing inside the top ten is now regular thing.
Teodor Borenstein from Maffi Racing scored points only in Race 2, but it was his strongest performance of the season. He was very quick in Sunday’s morning race, catching up to the group fighting for podium positions. The closing stages featured intense battles, with Borenstein right in the mix and he eventually climbed to fourth place after starting from 10th. In Race 1 and Race 3 he finished 12th and 11th respectively.
Czech-Canadian driver Nicole Havrda continued her F4 CEZ campaign after making her debut in the previous round at the Slovakia Ring. The JMT Engineering driver is primarily committed to the F1 Academy, but F4 CEZ offered a valuable chance to gain further single-seater experience. She qualified 13th for Race 1 and finished in the same position. In Race 2 she ran in the points positions and secured 10th place, adding a championship point to her tally. In the final race at Brno, she once again crossed the line in 13th.
The Rookie Rocket classification is a special ranking designed to highlight newcomers — drivers with limited testing mileage or those entering single-seater racing without prior experience. Eligibility is determined by the F4 CEZ organizers, based on performance in free practice and qualifying, with criteria adjusted from circuit to circuit.
