Cram Motorsport is one of the most experienced teams competing in this year’s F4 Central European Zone championship. Founded in 1991, the team has over the years developed future Formula 1 drivers, world champions and or Indianapolis 500 winners. Now F4 CEZ represents a new chapter in the rich history of the Italian squad, says team owner Gabriele Rosei.

Cram Motorsport will enter F4 CEZ with three cars for Simon Rechenmacher, Alexandre Louza and Ava Dobson. “Simon is a 16-year-old German driver, a rookie coming from karting. Obviously, he needs to gain mileage and learn. Alexandre is a 15-year-old Brazilian driver who has only taken part in two F4 races in Brazil in 2025, so he also needs mileage. Ava is an American female driver who competes in the F1 Academy Championship. She has experience, so she will be able to help her team-mates. However, she will make her debut with Cram later in the season, as Lubo Ruykov will be the team’s third driver at the Red Bull Ring,” explains Rosei, who has been following the development of F4 CEZ for some time.

“I have always followed the F4 CEZ with interest. The circuits are very technical and fast. I have known Mr Wani and Mr Joseph for a long time, and they are excellent people and professionals. As soon as we had the opportunity, I did not hesitate for a second and we registered our team.”

With the significant growth of the grid, the team’s previous experience in single-seaters and Formula 4 could prove valuable. However, Rosei remains cautious about Cram Motorsport’s debut and its prospects.

“Honestly, I don’t think we have any advantage. On the contrary, it may well be the opposite. As this is our first year in the championship, we have a lot to learn. But together with our drivers, we will give our best to achieve the best possible results,” says Rosei, before adding: “The level of the championship will certainly be very high. The large number of cars is the result of the excellent work F4 CEZ have done in the past. The most experienced and fastest driver will reach the top first.”

With 35 years in motorsport and 17 championship titles to its name, the team’s ambitions are high, yet realistic, as everything will be new for the team. “We race to win, but as I’ve already said, we have to learn. There are teams and drivers who are more experienced in F4 CEZ and have a better knowledge of the circuits, unlike us with rookie drivers.”

Working with junior drivers who go on to become internationally recognised professionals is part of the team’s DNA. Among the notable names to have passed through Cram Motorsport are Indianapolis 500 champion Tony Kanaan, Formula 1 drivers Felipe Massa, Enrique Bernoldi, Pastor Maldonado and Jaime Alguersuari, DTM vice-champion Augusto Farfus, multiple touring car and sportscar world champion José María López or 24h Le Mans winner Ben Hanley.

“There are many others who have contributed to our growth. Most of them lived with us like a family, like brothers. I am very proud of them and happy that they have reached professional levels,” says Rosei about the team, which was founded by his father in 1991. “During that time, my brother Simone and I grew up at the circuit, so motorsport became our passion and, of course, our profession. I believe the secret to staying at the top for so long is passion, quality and respect. We dedicate a great deal of time to the maintenance and preparation of our cars in order to provide an excellent product for our drivers, as well as offering round-the-clock availability to our clients.”
