Ella Hakkinen is set to make her debut in the F4 Central European Zone Championship with Swiss team Jenzer Motorsport in the 2026 season. The daughter of two-time Formula 1 Drivers’ World Champion and McLaren legend Mika Häkkinen is also the youngest member of the McLaren Driver Development Programme.

The 2026 season will mark Hakkinen’s first step into single-seater racing. She will be one of six drivers fielded by Jenzer Motorsport, which has secured both the drivers’ and teams’ titles in F4 CEZ across the past three seasons.

“I’m proud to start a new chapter with such an experienced and competitive team such as Jenzer Motorsport, along with the support from the McLaren Driver Development Programme. This is a big step in my journey, and I’m motivated more than ever to keep progressing,” said Hakkinen, having joined the McLaren programme in November 2025.

“We are happy to welcome Ella Hakkinen to our team,” added team owner Andreas Jenzer. “We will support her in the same way we support all our drivers, giving her the time and environment she needs at the beginning of her Formula 4 career. We know how to guide and protect young drivers as they adapt to a highly competitive single-seater environment. Everyone around Ella will work to help her succeed.”
