As drivers and teams gear up for the third round of the F4 Central European Zone, let’s take a closer look at the current standings in both the Drivers’ and Teams’ Championships.

After a successful race weekend at the Red Bull Ring, Gino Trappa from Jenzer Motorsport holds a commanding lead in the championship. With 116 points to his name, he sits 41 points ahead of David Walther from Maffi Racing. While the gap is significant, with three races scheduled this weekend and 25 points awarded for a win, both Walther and even third-placed Max Karhan still have a mathematical chance to make it on the top. Karhan currently trails his teammate Trappa by 49 points.

As was the case last season, the top three positions are held by drivers from either Jenzer Motorsport or Maffi Racing. These two Swiss teams are also leading the Teams’ Championship. Jenzer Motorsport enjoys a dominant position with 218 points, while Maffi Racing is second with 83—just two points ahead of Renauer Motorsport.

Renauer Motorsport delivered a strong performance at the Red Bull Ring, with their drivers securing three podium finishes. Their newest addition, Williams Karlsson, stood out by finishing second twice. He now sits fifth in the standings, just behind Bart Harrison, who only competed in the opening round back in April.

In the Women’s Trophy, Mathilda Paatz leads the way after topping all three races two weeks ago. She holds the lead ahead of Michalina Sabaj and Kiara Henni.

So far, 21 drivers have scored points across the six races held this season. The Salzburgring promises to add another exciting chapter to the 2025 championship battle. Will we see a new face on the top step of the podium, or will the familiar front-runners continue to dominate? Let’s see.
