The F4 Central European Zone Championship heads to Salzburgring for the third race weekend of the season – and the final round in Austria this year, following two events at the Red Bull Ring.
The entry list for F4 CEZ remains strong, led by the Jenzer Motorsport team, which enters five cars for Nicolas Cortes, Javier Herrera, Bautista Acosta, Max Karhan, and championship leader Gino Trappa. Trappa claimed two wins in the previous round and now holds the top spot in the standings with 41 points ahead of David Walther from Maffi Racing. Walther is once again joined by teammates Andreas Lo Bue, Teodor Borenstein and Nikolaj Dyrved in the Swiss-based squad.
For Renauer Motorsport, Salzburgring is another home track. The Austrian team prepares three cars for Hady Mimassi, local driver Simon Schranz and William Karlsson, who joined the team at the last round and showed very promising speed.
Janík Motorsport enjoyed a successful weekend at the Red Bull Ring, thanks to strong performances from Romuald Bocquet and David Gorčica. Both drivers are aiming for more points finishes at Salzburgring. F4 CEZ Academy powered by JMT Racing enters František Němec, who also scored his first points in the previous round.
Coming from Hungary, Zengő Motorsport joins the grid with Benett Gáspár. Both the driver and the team are newcomers to this F4 CEZ season and continue to improve with each round.
Mathilda Paatz heads to Salzburgring after an impressive result in the last race, where she finished second overall. She is currently the highest-placed female driver in the field, ahead of Michalina Sabaj from AS Motorsport and Kiara Henni from the family-run Henni Motorsport team.
The weekend at Salzburgring begins on Friday with free practice. Saturday’s qualifying session at 11:40 will determine the grid for Race 1, which takes place at 15:10. Races 2 and 3 will follow on Sunday at 10:10 and 13:45, respectively.
