The F4 Central European Zone Championship continues to attract a strong field this season, as teams and drivers head to the Red Bull Ring once again to fight for points and victories in the second round of the season.

A month ago, the F4 CEZ season kicked off at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, with a dominant performance by the Jenzer Motorsport team in two races, and a clever strategy by the Real Racing team in the third race. Although race winners Bart Harrison and Luca Viisoreanu are not on the entry list for this return to Austria, the field remains highly competitive.

Jenzer Motorsport enters five cars for Nicolas Cortes, Javier Herrera, Batista Acosta, Gino Trappa and Max Karhan. The latter two currently sit highest in the drivers’ standings, with Trappa in second place and Karhan in fourth.

Maffi Racing has brought four cars to the Red Bull Ring. The Swiss team is represented by David Walther, Nikolaj Dyrved, Andreas Lo Bue and Teodor Borenstein.

Another multi-car team is the local Renauer Motorsport, fielding Hady Mimassi and Simon Schranz, who returns to the cockpit after a minor injury sustained during the third race in April. A new face in the team is William Karlsson, who also has experience racing LMP3 prototypes.

The Czech team Janík Motorsport has added a second car to its lineup this season and is working with drivers Romuald Bocquet and David Gorčica.

Slovenian outfit AS Motorsport fields the fast Chase Fernandez and one of the three young women in the field—Michalina Sabaj. Her competitors in the Women’s Trophy are Mathilda Paatz from Mathilda Racing and Kiara Henni from Henni Performance.

Last but not least are Benett Gáspár from Zengő Motorsport and František Němec from the F4 CEZ Academy team powered by JMT Racing Engineering.

The overall entry list includes 20 drivers, confirming a consistently strong grid and promising highly competitive and spectacular racing. Jenzer Motorsport remains the favorite, but as the previous round showed, racing in F4 CEZ can be unpredictable. With the changeable weather conditions often seen at the Red Bull Ring, there could be an extra twist in the tale for the young drivers eager to showcase their skills on the international motorsport stage.
