F4 CEZ team standings take shape after first round

After the opening round of the Formula 4 Central European Zone, Jenzer Motorsport left the Red Bull Ring as the leader of the team standings, ahead of Real Racing.

Although Jenzer Motorsport fielded seven cars in Austria, only the two highest-placed finishers count towards the team points in F4 CEZ. This means the Swiss team did not have a real advantage over others—although, naturally, more cars mean more chances for strong results.

Jenzer Motorsport dominated the first two races, with drivers Bart Harrison and Gino Trappa finishing first and second. That strong performance put the team in the overall lead. In Race 3, Trappa and Harrison finished second and third, which brought Jenzer Motorsport to the top of the standings with 119 points.

The Romanian team Real Racing follows in second place with 37 points, earned by Luca Viisoreanu, who won Race 3 and added 25 points to his earlier haul.

Third in the standings is Maffi Racing with 30 points. The team entered three cars at the Red Bull Ring, with David Walther scoring 25 points and Teo Borenstein contributing five more.

AS Motorsport collected 15 points thanks to Chase Fernandez. Zengő Motorsport scored four points with Benett Gáspár, while Renauer Motorsport and Mathilda Racing added two points each through Hady Mimasso and Mathilda Paatz, respectively.

However, the season is still in its early stages, and with such strong competition across the field, the battle for the top spots remains wide open. That said, Jenzer Motorsport has remained unbeaten in the team standings for the past two seasons and is naturally the favorite to defend its title.

The next opportunity to score points will come once again at the Red Bull Ring, from May 17th to 18th.
