It’s been less than a month since the conclusion of the 2025 F4 Central European Zone championship, and already a new team from Denmark has announced its 2026 campaign. It’s an important “step” for a Danish racing squad STEP Motorsport.
Founded in 2021, STEP Motorsport has already found success in the Nordic 4 championship, taking wins and titles there. Now, team principal Morten Dons has set his sights on Europe and a higher level of formula racing with F4 CEZ.
“In just a few years, we have succeeded in building a professional team with some of the country’s most skilled mechanics and experts and our results speak for themselves. Talent development is a core part of our DNA and to improve our work in developing young drivers, we must dare to challenge ourselves. I am confident in saying that we are doing just that in F4 CEZ,” said team principal Dons, who has also raced in the British GT Championship and the European Le Mans Series.
Although Denmark has been represented in F4 CEZ by individual drivers, this will be the first time a Danish team enters the championship. They will line up alongside squads from Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
“Alongside F4 CEZ, we are also working towards participation in the Formula Winter Series, held in Portugal and Spain from January to March, to ensure we hit the ground running next year,” Dons added and expects delivery of the first of its three cars shortly after the end of the current season.
