The first race weekend of the F4 CEZ championship at the Red Bull Ring kicked off with Saturday qualifying, ending exceptionally well for the Swiss team Jenzer Motorsport, whose drivers Bart Harrison and Gino Trappa secured the front row.
A total of 21 Formula 4 cars battled for the best qualifying times on Saturday morning. The session was red-flagged with only four minutes remaining, and although it resumed, only few drivers managed to improve their times in these closing moments.
Bart Harrison claimed pole position with a time of 1:32.156, while teammate Gino Trappa finished second. Luca Viisoreanu from Real Racing qualified third, with Chase Fernandez from AS Motorsport was fourth.
Jenzer Motorsport teammates Javier Herrera, Max Karhan, Nicolas Cortes, and Bautista Acosta took positions fifth through eight, respectively. Completing the top ten was Michalina Sabaj from AS Motorsport, who was also the fastest female driver in the field, and Teo Schropp from Jenzer Motorsport
The first race will start today at 16:05, with two more races scheduled for Sunday at 9:30 and 13:45.
