Kiara Henni is a young lady from Germany, making a big step into tough competition. This season, she will be racing in the F4 Central European Zone Championship with the support of her father and family team Henni-Performance. We interviewed Kiara, so take a look at the newest competitor in the series!
Kiara, you started your career in karting, what inspired you to get into motorsport in the first place?
I wasn’t a motorsport fan at first, but I was always fascinated by speed. It began with a small pedal kart I used to drive around the yard. Steering it with one hand, I quickly developed a strong sense of speed and control. That feeling stuck with me, and when I got into a racing-kart at ten years old, I knew this was what I wanted to pursue.
You were racing in karting, last year also in Carbonia Cup, so what are your biggest achievements, which you are most proud of?
For me, success isn’t just about trophies; it’s about personal growth. The transition from karting to formula racing has been my biggest achievement. Competing in the Carbonia Cup was a significant step, as it was my first time racing in a Formula car. I’m proud of how I adapted and overcame the challenges.
Now you’re making the big step into Formula 4 CEZ. What excites you the most about this transition?
The challenge! The competition is tougher, the technology is more advanced, and the racing is at a whole new level. I’m excited to push myself, learn from the experience, and compete with talented drivers.
What have been the biggest challenges so far in preparing for F4 racing? You are entering F4 CEZ with your family team Henni-Performance. Who is your guide through your path in motorsport?
The biggest challenge has been adapting physically and mentally to the demands of Formula 4. It takes a lot of training to develop the precision and endurance needed for a full race weekend. My father is my greatest supporter—he’s not only my mechanic but also my mentor. Without him and our team, none of this would be possible.
Formula 4 CEZ is becoming increasingly competitive. What are your goals for your first season in the championship?
My main goal is to gain as much experience as possible and continue improving with each race. While I’d love to achieve good results, my focus is on growing as a driver.
Are there any drivers, past or present, who inspire you in your career?
My biggest role model is Sophia Flörsch. She has demonstrated remarkable determination and resilience, proving that hard work and perseverance can get you far in motorsport. Her mindset and fighting spirit inspire me greatly.
Looking ahead, where do you see yourself in five years? What is your ultimate motorsport dream?
My dream is to build a professional career in motorsport. In five years, I hope to be competing in a higher formula series and establishing myself as a strong driver. Ultimately, my goal is to race at an international level.
