The final battle for the title and points in the last round of the F4 Central European Zone Championship began on Friday at Automotodrom Brno with free practice and a crucial qualifying session, which was won by Mexican teammates from Jenzer Motorsport, Javier Herrera and Nicolas Cortes.

Herrera edged out Cortes by just 0.024 seconds, while Max Karhan, who is fighting for the title against Gino Trappa, was only 0.060 seconds behind Herrera. Trappa finished fourth, meaning that four of the five Jenzer Motorsport drivers locked out the first two rows.

Fifth fastest in qualifying was Mathilda Paatz from Mathilda Racing. She had been very quick in free practice and proved her speed again in qualifying. Andreas Lo Bue from Maffi Racing also showed his steady progress, breaking into the top six. Seventh was Benett Gáspár from Zengő Motorsport, with Kirill Kutskov from Maffi Racing in eighth. F4 CEZ debutant Florentin Hattemer impressed with a fantastic ninth-fastest time and the top ten was completed by Hady Mimassi from Renauer Motorsport.
