The Formula 4 Central European Zone (F4 CEZ) Championship awards Rookie Rocket honors to the top-performing rookies after each race weekend. At the third round of the season at Salzburgring, the top three Rookie Rocket drivers were Simon Schranz, Hady Mimassi, and Michalina Sabaj.

Simon Schranz from Austria enjoyed a strong weekend at the Salzburgring, especially in the second of the three races, where he finished third—his best career result in F4 CEZ so far. Driving for Renauer Motorsport, Schranz also secured sixth place in Race 1 and eighth place in Race 3, which made him the top Rookie Rocket of the round. And what better place to earn that honor than at his home track?

Finishing second in the Rookie Rocket rankings was Schranz’s Renauer Motorsport teammate Hady Mimassi. The Canadian driver scored two seventh-place finishes and a 13th place result, which was enough to secure second in the Rookie Rocket classification. Mimassi currently sits seventh in the overall drivers’ standings and already has a podium to his name from the Red Bull Ring.

Rounding out the Rookie Rocket TOP 3 was Michalina Sabaj from AS Motorsport. She scored her first championship points of the season at Salzburgring, finishing tenth in both Race 1 and Race 2, followed by twelfth place in the final race of the weekend.

The Rookie Rocket classification is a dedicated ranking designed to spotlight newcomers, drivers with limited testing mileage or those entering single-seater racing without prior experience. Eligibility is determined by F4 CEZ organizers based on performance in free practice and qualifying sessions, with specific criteria adjusted from circuit to circuit.
