The Formula 4 Central European Zone (F4 CEZ) Championship awards Rookie Rocket honors to the top-performing rookies after each race weekend. At the fourth round of the season at Autodrom Most, the top three Rookie Rocket drivers were Simon Schranz, Andreas Lo Bue and František Němec.
Simon Schranz, driving for Renauer Motorsport, had another successful weekend in F4 in the Czech Republic. He finished sixth in both Race 1 and Race 2, and capped off the Racing Journal Speed Fest event with a third-place finish in Race 3, his second podium of the season.
“This was a great race for us. After getting my first-ever podium in Salzburg, I honestly didn’t expect another one here,” said Schranz at the press conference after Race 3.
Second place in the Rookie Rocket rankings went to Andreas Lo Bue from the Maffi Racing team. The young Swiss driver finished all races in the top 10, consistently improving with results of 10th, 8th, and 6th.
František Němec, representing the F4 Academy team powered by JMT Racing, placed third in the rankings. Autodrom Most is his home circuit and he delivered a strong performance with 8th and 11th place finishes in the first two races. In Race 3, he started from pole position and led the opening three laps before eventually crossing the finish line in 7th place.
The Rookie Rocket classification is a dedicated ranking designed to spotlight newcomers — drivers with limited testing mileage or those entering single-seater racing without prior experience. Eligibility is determined by F4 CEZ organizers based on performance in free practice and qualifying sessions, with specific criteria adjusted from circuit to circuit.
