Chinese driver Shimo Zhang will be driving the fifth Formula 4 open-wheel car in the colors of the Jenzer Motorsport team at the F4 CEZ season finale at Balaton Park.
Zhang has been racing in karts, but it was time to move on to the proper racing circuit. „Shimo Zhang is a young, ambitious Chinese driver who wishes to enter formula racing. He has been participating in some test days in the F4 car during this season with our team,“ says the team founder, Andreas Jenzer.
Zhang has now obtained the national racing license and has therefore decided to gain more experience by participating in his first race event. „As we are competing in the FIA F4 CEZ championship, the race event at Balaton Park Circuit presented itself as a very good opportunity for Shimo to start,“ added Andreas Jenzer.
Therefore, Jenzer Motorsport is going to field five cars in the season finale for Reno Francot, Ethan Ischer, Mathias Bjerre Jakobsen, Max Karhan, and Shimo Zhang.
