The Czech has preliminary nomination team for the Motorsport Games

The FIA Motorsport Games is essentially the motorsport Olympics, held every two years, where hundreds of drivers represent their nation in various disciplines. The event is organized by the SRO Motorsports Group in collaboration with the FIA, and the upcoming edition will take place from October 23 to 27, 2024, in Valencia.

Similar to the previous edition held in Marseille, France, and at the Paul Ricard circuit, there are sixteen categories announced, including at least ten more new catogiries. Two years ago, the world record for the number of countries and competitors participating in a single motorsport event was broken. The four-day event saw 463 athletes and 45,000 spectators. Italy was the most successful nation, winning three gold medals and one silver.

The Czech Republic has had its representatives in the past. In 2022, the crew of Vojtěch Štajf and Vladimír Zelinka won a silver medal in the Rally Historic Cup discipline. Ondřej Kočka, Aleš Burger, Zdeněk Ošťádal, and Soňa Ptáčková secured a bronze medal in the Karting Endurance discipline. Martin Kadlečík, who is part of the preliminary nomination team for the upcoming edition, came close to winning another medal in the virtual racing category.
