It’s not easy to step into a racing car and be fast. A driver should learn and develop themselves without too much pressure, while also not missing out the fun of driving. Therefore, the Rookie Rocket Cup has been introduced within the F4 CEZ championship.
„The Rookie Rocket Cup rating is an opportunity for every new driver in the F4 CEZ. Anyone who enters the championship is automatically included in the Rookie Rocket Cup, which will have a separate podium ceremony,“ says Josef Křenek, the promoter of the F4 CEZ, who wants to promote racing for novice racers.
There is no need to progress at the cost of endless testing sessions and waste tire sets. The drivers test their cars during the race weekend through practice sessions, qualifying and races. Anyone who is slower than 102 % of the winner, will be counted for the Rookie Rocket Cup. Also any driver older than 40 years is automatically part of the Rookie Rocket classification and therefore has a chance to achieve a podium finish in a separate classification.
